Needless to say that the original condition is preferable to rebinding but in some cases the latter is the best solution. The publisher's book cover was damaged by fungus, the spine was lost. A comprehensive restoration of the paper was carried out, the book block was re-sewn and the  bounded in fine morocco. Hand stamps and rolls were chosen in accordance with the era and the typography.
